Black Pearl de Almeida is a multidisciplinary Afro-Latinx trans artist based in Berlin. She graduated from the State University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim, has performed professionally in various art institutions and renowned dance ensembles across Germany, and is currently a member of the Iconic House of Saint Laurent Europe. Her research explores the use of the body as both an artistic and political platform to dismantle the invisibility—both physical and symbolic—of trans identities through their life stories.
