Kadidja Tiemanta

Kadidja Tiemanta was born in 1991 in Yamoussoukro (Côte d'Ivoire) and lives and works in Bamako, Mali. She graduated from the Conservatoire des Arts et Métiers Multimédia Balla Fasséké KOUYATE with a Master's degree in dance in 2017. Her further training took place at the Ecole des Sables in Senegal, at the Centre de Développement choré-graphique la Termitière in Burkina Faso, at the Don Sen Folo centre in Bamako and in Brazil as part of the Glomus Camp artistic encounter. Tiamanta has performed in Nadia Beugré's Legacy (Côte d'Ivoire), Taoufiq Izeddiou's Sans titre (Morocco), Nikoko Yao's In the Box (Côte d'Ivoire) and Le Sacre du Printemps (Compagnie Pina Bausch), with which she toured the world. Her choreographic works to date includes Différent comme toi (2017) in collaboration with Yacouba Coulibaly, a duo performance Crossing (2017), a duo "(IN)SECURE (2022) with Carmélita Siwa from Benin, and a solo “Banbali (100 fin)” (2022). In the course of her career, Tiemanta crossed paths with Patrick ACOGNY (Senegal-France), Kettly NOËL (Haiti/Mali), Serge Aimé COULIBALY (Burkina Faso), Nora CHIPAUMIRE (Zimbabwe), Andrea BOLL (Switzerland), Taoufiq IZEDDIOU (Morocco), Gilles JOBIN (Switzerland) and GABRIEL SMEETS (Sweden), to name but a few.
