Cardboard Sessions

Cardboard Sessions

Somewhere between a happening and an urban dance cypher, CARDBOARD SESSIONS unfolds—the new project by Munich choreographer Moritz Ostruschnjak. Here, a group of dancers from different generations and styles take over the spaces of the Pinakothek der Moderne with their moves—invading, spontaneous, unstoppable. Stairs become platforms, hallways turn into playgrounds, and rooms transform into stages.

Is this art? Or just a jam session where everyone hangs out and exchanges ideas? Maybe it’s all of that—or simply a space where art and subculture collide, blend, and give rise to something new. And when, at last, everyone gathers in the rotunda of the Pinakothek, we dance — all of us. Together.

A production by Moritz Ostruschnjak in co-operation with the International Dance Festival Munich and the Pinakothek der Moderne Munich as part of the Kunstareal Fest.
Supported by the Cultural Department of the City of Munich and the Fonds Darstellende Künste with funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media. Moritz Ostruschnjak is a member of Tanztendenz München e.V.
