Two Room Apartment Story - a Live Lecture Performance

What does it mean, to be a partner? Living together, working together? Which boundaries are drawn? Where is each person by themselves, when does intimacy become obvious? How do we deal with the boundaries within ourselves that hold us back? In 1987 Liat Dror and Nir Ben Gal presented "Two Room Apartment" as a touching duet, which changed Israeli dance and received international awards. Twenty-five years later Niv Sheinfeld and Oren Laor – like Dror and Ben Gal, life partners and partners on the stage – pick up the piece. A minimalist study on the boundaries that mark our everyday lives. Sheinfeld & Laor give this duet about the habits and rituals that provide our lives with security and simultaneously restrict it, a "queer," fascinating new interpretation.

More information about the lecture that is specially produced for DANCE will soon be published.
