Théo Mercier & François Chaignaud
Radio Vinci Park

An industrial hall at night. A stranger clad in black leather astride a motorcycle. An alien creature teetering on high heels. A mysterious woman at the harpsichord. To the music of Mozart, Handel, and Purcell, a strange ritual unfolds, oscillating between queer desire and subtle humor. The stage becomes an arena where humans and machines engage in a courtship dance, which is at one moment a duel, the next an act of love.
RADIO VINCI PARK is a collaboration between choreographer François Chaignaud and visual artist and stage director Théo Mercier. This unconventional choreography brings together François Chaignaud himself, stuntman Cyril Bourny, and pianist Marie-Pierre Brébant. Presented as a late-night performance at the International DANCE Festival München, the piece plays with the codes of baroque queerness and post-human science fiction. Both François Chaignaud and Théo Mercier make their Munich debut with this work.
