The Image of Dance

An Event Organized by TANZ.media

What image does dance have? And how does it come about? Through your own experiences? Through billboard advertising, videos, photographs? In a relaxed atmosphere of discussion, the association TANZ.media e.V. and the festival DANCE invite you to an aperitif with guests who make a living from professionally shaping our image of dance: Dance photographers like Rosa Frank and Dieter Hartwig, dance filmmakers like Klaus Dilger, representatives of ballet marketing like Martina Zimmermann from the Bavarian State Ballet, dance journalists like Melanie Suchy, Elisabeth Nehring, Rico Stehfest or Arnd Wesemann, dance artists like Moritz Ostruschnjak and scientists like Dr. Isa Wortelkamp and Dorte Lena Eilers; and Dr. Paul Klimpel, a lawyer specialized in media law. Because this question is also part of it: Who owns the right to the image of dance? To the person who photographs it? To those who are pictured? What battle rages behind the scenes to show us exactly the image of dance that draws us to the theater?
